PLAN YOUR VACATION

SPRING

The Shuswap is magic. Days are warm, evenings crisp, and the fishing is excellent. Prize rainbow, lakers, dolly varden and kokanee make the lake their home. And remember our houseboats come equipped with a fireplace and hot tub* to keep you warm and cozy. Fishing licences are required on Shuswap Lake and are available online. *(The Cruiser does not include a fireplace or hot tub).

SUMMER

Brings the extraordinary pleasures of cruising and swimming in the crystal clear waters of Shuswap Lake. Off the water there are a variety of side trips available – ranging from novice to advanced – including majestic waterfalls, hiking trails and secret sandy coves. This is the most popular time of the year – so book early.

FALL

The perfect time for those seeking a more tranquil vacation. The lake is still warm from the summer heat, the beaches are quiet and the evenings are perfect for relaxing in your hot tub. And for nature lovers, the Shuswap puts on a full show in the fall – pumpkin orange to scarlet with all the colours in between. Sunsets, moonlight, stars – and if you time it right… northern lights. Get on board!

ARRIVAL PROCEDURE:

10 days prior to your departure, the reservation holder will receive a phone call to be assigned an office check-in time. On your day of arrival, after your office paperwork is completed, the houseboat orientation will be scheduled with the captains. The rest of your crew is free to explore town, the beach, restaurants or The Pub at Old Town Bay until assigned their houseboat.

For ideas on what to do in and around Sicamous, check out the Sicamous website.

BOARDING:

Your boat will be ready once maintenance, cleaning, and our dock crews have done all the necessary checks (this takes time and the amount of time may vary depending on how boats return, their size, and if they incur any maintenance issues). Once ready, your boat will be assigned by the office and then a porter will be assigned to assist your group in loading your belongings onboard.

RETURN:

All Houseboats return between 8AM and 10AM on the final day.

British Columbia is committed to keeping our lakes pristine, Quagga and Zebra Mussel free.
Please respect our lakes and boarder crossing patrols and STOP at the BC boat inspection stations.
