DATES & TIMES

SPRING
The Shuswap is magic. Days are warm, evenings crisp, and the fishing is excellent. Prize rainbow, lakers, dolly varden and kokanee make the lake their home. And remember our houseboats come equipped with a fireplace and hot tub to keep you warm and cozy. *(The Cruiser does not include a fireplace or hot tub). Fishing licences are required on Shuswap Lake and are available online or at the Twin Anchors Gift Shack.
SUMMER
Brings the extraordinary pleasures of cruising and swimming in the crystal clear waters of Shuswap Lake. Off the water there are a variety of side trips available – ranging from novice to advanced – including majestic waterfalls, hiking trails and secret sandy coves. This is the most popular time of the year – so book early.
FALL
The perfect time for those seeking a more tranquil vacation. The lake is still warm from the summer heat, the beaches are quiet and the evenings are perfect for relaxing in your hot tub. And for nature lovers, the Shuswap puts on a full show in the fall – pumpkin orange to scarlet with all the colours in between. Sunsets, moonlight, stars and more stars – and if you time it right… northern lights. Get on board!
The vacation year at Twin Anchors is broken up into three seasons – Low, Mid and Peak. All are colour coded on our calendars. Once you’ve decided when you’d like to depart, book early to avoid disappointment. Remember, we will hold a houseboat for up to 10 days without obligation.
